// Fort Walton Beach Photographer | Watervue Wedding Venue // Highlights slideshow is up and I’m happy to share the best moments of Aimee and Bobby Ray’s wedding at WaterVue at Brook’s St in Fort Walton Beach, Florida!
You know what’s the best about our part of Florida? You don’t have to have a beautiful wedding on the beach (and get all sandy) to have a gorgeous wedding and an amazing experience for your guests! We have plenty of waterfront venues for stunning views, including one of our favorite – the Watervue!
Now, before you dive into the slideshow, we want to share
Pros and Cons of beach weddings
Pros of Beach weddings:
- Gorgeous view of emerald waters and blue skies!
- Stunning sunset photos
- Laid back atmosphere
- Personalization of your arbor and ceremony decor
Cons of Beach weddings:
- Weather-dependent! You have to have a plan B for bad weather (tents, indoor venues, etc.) It is true that we have way more sunny days than rainy days, but they still do happen, just like hurricanes…
- Again weather! If you pick your wedding between May-October, most of the time, it’s too hot and our brides in their beautiful dresses and grooms in layers (suits) do get too hot . Also, most guests do not like the heat…
- If you pick a public beach location OR a private beach surrounded by other properties with beach house guests, you will get an audience of beach goers who will not have a problem standing or sitting too close to watch you tie the knot. And, most of the time, no matter how nice we are, they won’t move!
- Mobility issues: some older guests or people with mobility problems will have a hard time walking on sand to get to your ceremony site.
